XL1000 February 19, 2024 Reviewer: Priscille Pollock from Topsham, ME United States   I previously had the same time clock and was having problems with it so I decided to purchase the same kind as I had lots of time cards. Overall it works good, but a couple of weeks ago when the time cards were put in they would all come up error. Finally I unplugged it and it seems to be working OK for now. Compumatic XL1000E February 7, 2022 Reviewer: Martina Skelton from Pittsburgh, PA United States   We have only been using the time clock for a little over a week.  The operation of the clock seems fine, but getting it set up properly is not as easy as it should be.  Some of the directions are not very clear and we have had to call customer service for assistance.  Waiting now on a call back for another set up question. Documentation is subpar, cryptic December 11, 2017 Reviewer: Tony Leipold from Medin, OH United States   The instruction manual should be written by a person who has complete working knowledge of the English language.  It is as if the manual was written in another language and then translated by Google translate.  Unit functions well enough but without a working knowledge of the unit, it may take you SEVERAL pay cycles to get the settings were you want or need them Was this review helpful to you?

timeclock June 18, 2016 Reviewer: Arin Wilken from Mondovi, WI United States   The instruction were a little confusing as we are a small library with only four part-time employees.  Our hours of operation are all over the place, so I wasn't sure how to set some the things. As we enter the third pay period with the new timeclock, we should know whether or not I've done things properly.   We also are confused about the timecards.  We thought we were supposed to flip them so that one week was on one side (black) and the other week was on the back side (red). Perhaps I did not read the item description properly, but I was of the understanding that the battery back up was built into the unit, and would not require a separate purchase.  Again, we are a small, not-for-profit library in a tiny town, and our budget is bare-bones as it is. Compumatic XL1000E Calculating Time Clock September 29, 2015 Reviewer: LISA ACENOWR from NORWICH, NY United States   We have had 2 instances where the card was punched but nothing printed (E-33).  The card was normal (1st punch of the week).  The employee was punched in but the info did not print on the card.  I was eventually able to punch the card and all was okay.  The same thing happened both times.  I am concerned that the machine is finicky at this early stage.
