The RTC-1000 Universal Time Clock is the newest addition to Icon Time Systems' product line; offering breakthrough technology that allows payroll managers to view and edit payroll information through web-enabled devices like your PC, Mac, laptop, cell phone and more. The RTC-1000 Universal Time Clock supports universal connectivity to Ethernet, USB, or serial port communications, so payroll managers with an Internet connection and standard browser, can now access data anywhere, anytime. When Internet access is not available the time clock can connect directly to a PC. In either case there’s no software to install, making access easy via Windows, Linux, Macintosh and many other operating systems.
Using the Ethernet option, the multi-clock feature allows multiple clocks to share one common database through your network or even the Internet by automatically integrating data from all time clock terminals into one. Clocks can be at one location, across the country or even across the world!
Note: Multi-clock integration works exclusively with Ethernet communication. If you are using the USB or Serial connection options you must change your communication to Ethernet to integrate multiple clocks.
The RTC-1000 is not recommended for systems of more than 4 time clocks and more than 100 employees. If your company exceeds this number of time clocks or employees give us a call for more information on compatible upgrades for your system.

Universal Time Clocks — FAQ Q. Do I have to have Network or Internet connection to use this time clock? A. No. What makes this time clock so unique is that it will connect directly to your computer just like a standard employee time clock. What distinguishes the Universal Time Clocks from others is that it comes with the three most common connection options all-in-one; Ethernet, USB, and serial connection and time clock data can be accessed on the internet! Q. How easy is it to upgrade my employee capacity? A. Whether you want to upgrade to 100 or 500 employee capacity upgrades are immediate and easy to do. No. If you would like you can hang your clock on the wall for employee use and simply connect your time clock to a computer/Network when you are ready to view/print reports or add/edit data. Q. Will I lose my punch data if my time clock is disconnected from the power? A. No. All Icon Time Systems time clocks come standard with a lithium battery to keep data safe in case of power outages. Q. What if my employee forgets to punch In or Out? A. If your employee forgets to punch In or Out, no sweat! With Click & Edit Reports you can edit your punch data quicker than ever before! Homepage alerts tell you when an employee forgets to clock Out, also use the alerts to log your employees In and Out punch.
Q. Any software to install? A. No software to install, it's already in the time clock!
Q. Does it work with Quick Books? A. Easily integrates with QuickBooks or sends reports in CSV format (XL).
Q. How do I view reports via Internet? A. To view records via internet you will need a designated IP address. You will log in with user defined ID and password from anywhere with that IP to view reports.
Q. Can it be connected directly to the printer? A. No. Does not connect directly to the printer, must connect to PC.
Q. Can more than one administrator be loged-in to view reports at the same time? A. Yes. Multi user license included – many administrators can log-in to view reports at the same time.
Q. Can it auto deduct for breacks and lunches? A. Yes.
Q. Does it support department shifts (different pay rates for the same employee for different tasks)?
A. No. Does not support job costing/department shifts.
Q. Does it ring bells? A. No. But you may use it along with model 7000 to ring bells and synhronize clocks.
Q. What pay periods does it support? A. Supports weekly, bi-weekly, Semi-monthly and monthly pay periods.
